The venue is at Lot LK2/4, Hon Cap Be urban area, Hong Gai Ward, Quang Ninh — the Hon Gai district at the centre of Ha Long. It is a few minutes by taxi or car from the seafront. It opens at 8 PM and serves until 1 AM, every day of the week.

Why it is called Circle Social Club

The venue came out of a partnership between two names in Ha Long nightlife, Circle and Abzu. The word Abzu — the primordial water of myth — explains the entire sea-floor interior. Its emblem is a round disc with a C enclosing the whole name; that circle is both the logo and the shape of the room, recreated in the round porthole covered with glowing net behind the stage.

A cave on the sea floor

Beyond the tentacles, nets and coral, the room holds statues in arched niches and a round LED disc suspended over the floor. This is a space that follows one idea through rather than hanging a few marine props about — and the reason most of its good reviews mention the room before the music.

What happens each night

A DJ holds the centre of the floor through the night, with fan dancers beneath the statue niches, a fire performer and guest singers in between.
