District KGastrobar × Club in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

District K does not try to be a conventional club. The idea is to build an entire night-market street indoors: layered neon signage, an open bar, a vintage Cadillac, palms and hanging lanterns, plus a games area so guests have something to do between sets. The result is a gastrobar × club × lounge complex at 30 Thu Khoa Huan in District 1 that works for a group of friends and for visiting travellers alike.

District K is at 30 Thu Khoa Huan, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City — beside Ben Thanh Market and minutes from the Nguyen Hue walking street, easy to reach for after-work crowds and visitors staying downtown. It opens 16:00 to 02:00 every day, so you can arrive straight after work, eat and talk, then stay late. Capacity runs to 400 guests.

Inspired by Lan Kwai Fong, Itaewon and Las Vegas

The concept draws on famous nightlife districts across Asia and the US — Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong, Itaewon in Seoul and Las Vegas. Everything is built to read as a street after dark: multi-level signage, saturated neon, raw materials and a few vintage props placed exactly where a camera wants them. It is the kind of room where you get the photo without staging it.

Gastrobar food and the games area

The kitchen runs as a genuine gastrobar: BBQ skewers, sea snails prepared several ways, crispy chicken cartilage, handmade pizza, grilled German sausage and sharing sets for groups of 4–10. Alongside sits the entertainment zone with billiards, a ball-toss table, arcade machines and a foosball table — the detail that sets the venue apart from a pure club. The DJ stage runs live every night, with dance shows, fire performances and street-circus acts on a regular schedule.

Table options at District K

There are four ways to book. Bar Counter suits 1–2 guests at the bar; Standard Sofa takes 2–4 guests in the main room near the games; Premium Sofa seats 4–8 on a wide sofa facing the DJ stage; VIP Private is for 8–15 guests in a separate area that can be decorated on request for birthdays or corporate parties. Dress code is smart casual — skip the flip-flops and gym shorts.

Drinks and menu at District K

District K is a gastrobar, so the menu covers food as well as drinks, unlike a pure club. It is split into shared plates for the table, drinks by the glass, and bottle service. Everything is published with listed prices on the venue menu page — groups planning dinner before settling in for the music should look first and order in the right sequence.

A street built indoors

District K is not laid out as one large room with a stage at the end — it is built as a street: shopfront façades run the full height along both sides, packed with neon signage layered over itself, vertical and horizontal, Hong Kong and Tokyo styles mixed until you cannot read it all. Tables line either side like a pavement eatery while the centre aisle stays clear, leading straight to the stage at the far end carrying the venue name. The ceiling is high, cyan beams firing symmetrical shapes overhead, and an oversized mascot hangs among the signs. This is why guests photograph the room lengthwise — from the top of the street you see the whole depth of it.

Getting to District K

District K is at 30 Thu Khoa Huan, the street running alongside Ben Thanh Market and linking Le Thanh Ton to Ly Tu Trong — name the market and any driver knows it. About a three-minute walk from Ben Thanh metro station. Sitting in the very centre, the area has plenty of parking around the market, which is easier for cars than the alleys over towards Pham Ngu Lao.
