The 18 best bars in Da Nang for 2026: beach bars, rooftops, pubs and live music

Eighteen bars in Da Nang, ranked by popularity on Google Maps: five on the sand at My Khe Beach, five hotel rooftops facing the Han River or the sea, five live music bars, pubs and hidden bars in central Hai Chau, a pub in the An Thuong backpacker grid and two stage venues in Hoa Cuong.

Updated 26 Oct 2026 · 18 venues · ranked by number of Google Maps reviews

Da Nang has no single bar street; its nightlife follows the water. The longest stretch is Vo Nguyen Giap, the beach road that runs the length of My Khe. In the An Hai section you will find Esco Beach Bar at Lot 12 and Lounge Beach Bar at 1C, plus two rooftops: Sky 21 Bar & Bistro on the 21st floor of the Parosand hotel at number 216, and Horizon Bar on the 36th floor of the Four Points at 118–120. Further south, in Ngu Hanh Son, come Kalà Kalà Beach Club at number 51, then Paradise Beach Bar & Cinema at 270 and Maia Beach Bar at 284, both in the Bac My Phu area. Esco, Kalà Kalà, Paradise and Maia all open at 8 AM and Lounge Beach also starts early, with loungers, daybeds and sea-facing tables by day, then DJs, fire dancing or an outdoor film once the sun drops. This is the group people have in mind when they look for a beach bar in Da Nang. A few streets inland, the An Thuong backpacker grid adds a pub scene, led here by Section 30.

The second axis is Bach Dang Street on the west bank of the Han River, in Hai Chau. Sky36 crowns the Novotel at number 36, Brilliant Top Bar sits on the 17th floor of the Brilliant Hotel at 162, and Bamboo 2 Bar holds the corner at 216, all looking across the river toward the Dragon Bridge; further north, Gypsy Rooftop tops the New Orient hotel at 20 Dong Da. A few blocks inland are the places to sit and listen: On The Radio Bar at 76 Thai Phien and The 1920's Lounge at 53 Tran Quoc Toan both open at 7 PM with a band at the heart of the evening, LUNA Pub at 9A Tran Phu is an Italian-style pub with live music nights, and Tê Bar hides on the third floor of 39–41 Nguyen Thai Hoc. South of downtown, Hoa Cuong has two stage venues for big groups: FOMO Beer Club on Nui Thanh (number 21A) and Bambi Beer Club on 2 Thang 9 Street.

Together the eighteen cover five kinds of evening. The beach bars peak in the late afternoon: golden hour at Paradise starts around 5 PM, and Kalà Kalà's DJ and MC program begins at 4:30 PM. The rooftops are best as the sky darkens, with Brilliant opening at 4 PM, Sky 21 and Gypsy at 5 PM and Sky36 at 6 PM, while Horizon is already open well before dinner. At the live music bars, aim to arrive around 8 PM to get a seat before the band starts; LUNA opens at 5 PM except on Mondays, when it is closed, and Tê Bar opens at 7 PM. Bamboo 2 is a sports bar open from early afternoon, Section 30 is a long-sit pub in An Thuong, and FOMO and Bambi are stage venues, Bambi at its busiest from 10 PM. Closing times range widely: Brilliant at 11 PM, Esco, Sky 21, LUNA and Gypsy at midnight, Maia at 1 AM, The 1920's Lounge and Tê Bar at 1:30 AM, Sky36, On The Radio, Paradise and Kalà Kalà at 2 AM, and Bambi at 3 AM every night, with Bamboo 2 also running to 3 AM at weekends. Nightclub.com.vn only takes reservations from guests who are 18 or older.

1. Esco Beach Bar — Long-running beach bar on the My Khe sand, DJs and fire at night

  • AddressLô 12 Võ Nguyên Giáp, An Hải, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours08:00 – 00:00
  • TypeBeach Bar & Restaurant
  • Google Maps★ 4.6 · 7,592 reviews

Esco Beach Bar sits right on the sand of My Khe, at Lot 12 Vo Nguyen Giap, in An Hai ward, which belonged to Son Tra district until July 2025. It is open 8 AM to midnight every day and tops this list for popularity. The design is clean and modern and faces straight onto the surf, with sofas, loungers and some seating set on the sand, and the view runs toward the Son Tra peninsula. Daytime visitors come to lie back and have breakfast or lunch by the waves; late in the afternoon the lights turn amber and the soundtrack shifts to mellow house. One independent review found the outdoor area a little tight, so ask where you will be seated when you book.

After dark Esco becomes a beach party, with DJs, live music and fire dancers on the sand, usually on weekend nights. There is no day-by-day schedule, so if the fire show is the point, say so in your request. The kitchen covers Vietnamese and international dishes, light bites, fresh coconuts and breakfast sets for early arrivals. No dress code is published; summer clothes and beach sandals are fine. Sunset and Saturday or Sunday nights are the busiest times, so groups wanting a sofa or a spot on the sand should ask ahead.

Best for: Guests staying around An Hai, groups who want a beach day that runs into a weekend fire show

2. Maia Beach Bar — Loungers on the sand opposite M Hotel, a DJ daily, fire on weekends

  • Address284 Võ Nguyên Giáp, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours08:00 – 01:00
  • TypeBeach Bar
  • Google Maps★ 4.7 · 5,383 reviews

Maia Beach Bar is at 284 Vo Nguyen Giap in Ngu Hanh Son, in the Bac My Phu area, on the beach across from the M Hotel and part of the same M Group; one source lists it at 290, so search by name. The most common hours are 8 AM to 1 AM, though a few sources say it opens from 7 AM. Every seat is outdoors: loungers and low chairs right on the sand, with the breeze and the surf as background. Mornings start with coffee, some guests work on a laptop here during the day, and from the afternoon the loungers fill with guests waiting for the sun to go down.

A DJ plays every day of the week, starting with light tropical sounds in the afternoon and building toward late night, sometimes mixed with live music. On Saturday and Sunday there is a fire show on the sand at around 10 PM. Even so, Maia is more a place to unwind than a loud party, and families find it pleasant in the evening too. The menu runs to mixed drinks, smoothies, tropical juices, lychee tea and food. Entry is free, but each guest orders at least one drink. Reserve ahead for a front-row lounger at sunset or on a fire show night.

Best for: Couples, families and anyone after a lounger on the sand at sunset, then a fire show

3. On The Radio Bar — Long-running live music bar on Thai Phien with a stage and pool table

  • Address76 Thái Phiên, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours19:00 – 02:00
  • TypeLive Music Bar
  • Google Maps★ 4.7 · 4,656 reviews

On The Radio Bar is at 76 Thai Phien in Hai Chau, right in the center; until July 2025 the area was Phuoc Ninh ward. It has more than twelve years of live music behind it and still goes by the motto “Music ON, World OFF”. Most 2026 sources give its hours as 7 PM to 2 AM, while a few say it closes at midnight. Inside, the decor follows a vintage radio theme with a wooden bar, warm yellow lights, a stage for the band and a pool table for anyone who fancies a game between sets.

The band usually plays from about 8:30 PM to 11 PM, Tuesday to Saturday according to some guests; weeknights lean toward ballads and country, weekends toward rock, and there are open-mic moments after 10 PM. The setlist mixes Vietnamese and English songs, so the whole room tends to sing along. It is a place to listen more than dance, although the stage is a decent size and people do get up and sway. No need to dress up. It fills fast, especially on Friday and Saturday, so arrive around 8 PM or reserve, and mention if you would rather be by the stage or close to the pool table.

Best for: Fans of cover bands, friends who like to sing along, anyone after a live music pub downtown

4. The 1920's Lounge — Vintage lounge on Tran Quoc Toan with jazz and acoustic bands nightly

  • Address53 Trần Quốc Toản, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours19:00 – 01:30
  • TypeLive Music Lounge
  • Google Maps★ 4.8 · 3,793 reviews

The 1920's Lounge is at 53 Tran Quoc Toan in Hai Chau, in the same central area as its sister bar On The Radio. It is open 7 PM to 1:30 AM. The room recreates the 1920s with bare brick, wooden floors, deep sofas, warm yellow light, a small stage and an old-style bar, and staff in ao dai greet guests at the door. It is not large, holding around 100 people, which keeps it intimate enough for conversation while every table can still see the band.

A different band plays each night, mostly jazz, acoustic and ballads, usually from around 9 PM, and the setlist may include Vietnamese and Korean songs. One recent guest noted that jazz night tends to fall on Thursday, but check the venue's Facebook for each night's line-up. There is no charge for the music. Unlike On The Radio, people here listen more than they sing along, which makes it a good choice for a date or a quiet catch-up. Neat, tidy clothes suit the room. On weekends, jazz nights and holidays the tables near the stage go early, so arrive around 8 PM or book ahead.

Best for: Date nights, jazz and acoustic fans, small groups who want music in a vintage room

5. Sky36 — Three-level rooftop on top of the Novotel, high above the river

  • Address36 Bạch Đằng, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours18:00 – 02:00
  • TypeSky Lounge
  • Google Maps★ 4.3 · 3,182 reviews

Sky36 takes up the top three floors of the Novotel Danang Premier Han River at 36 Bach Dang, on the west bank and a few minutes' walk from the Dragon Bridge. It is open 6 PM to 2 AM daily and bills itself as the highest sky bar in the city. Each level has its own job. Floor 35 is an air-conditioned lounge with sofas and a speakeasy-style counter, floor 36 is the open-air deck built around an LED-lit central bar, and floor 37 is an outdoor dining terrace with softer music. Arrive right at opening to watch the river darken and the bridges light up.

The energy is on floor 36. A DJ plays electronic sets from 9 PM, and the show schedule rotates: a dance showcase every night, a fire dance at 11 PM on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and flair bartending after 10 PM on Monday and Tuesday. Couples who want dinner should ask for floor 37, groups who want to be near the DJ should take a table around the LED bar, and anyone after privacy and air conditioning should sit on the floor 35 sofas. Birthdays, anniversaries and company parties are welcome. On fire dance nights, tables on the edge of the deck go first.

Best for: Couples and visitors who want the full river view plus a show, company parties up high

6. Paradise Beach Bar & Cinema — On the My Khe sand with its own lighthouse and outdoor films at night

  • Address270 Võ Nguyên Giáp, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours08:00 – 02:00
  • TypeBeach Bar & Cinema
  • Google Maps★ 4.4 · 2,692 reviews

Paradise Beach Bar & Cinema is at 270 Vo Nguyen Giap in Ngu Hanh Son, on the sea side of the road near the An Thuong streets and in the same Bac My Phu area as Maia. It is open 8 AM to 2 AM daily. Tables stand directly on the sand with nothing between you and the water, no walkway and no glass screen, and in the middle sits a round thatched bar next to the venue's own small lighthouse. Early mornings bring sunrise coffee, golden hour for photos starts around 5 PM, and colored lanterns, wooden tables, bean bags and cabana-style corners for groups fill out the space.

When it gets dark, a big screen set up among the palm trees comes on for an outdoor film, and guests sink into bean bags on the sand to watch with the waves in the background. Bean bags on film nights are limited and go to whoever arrives first, and no film schedule is published, so ask ahead if the movie is why you are going. Other nights bring live music or a DJ. The menu covers morning coffee, fresh juices, cold drinks, food, popcorn and movie sets, and the sweet glazed beef skewers get mentioned a lot. For a birthday or a date, give notice and the staff will set up and decorate a private corner.

Best for: Couples on a date, friends who want a film on the sand, golden-hour photos by the lighthouse

7. The Gypsy Rooftop — Rooftop of the New Orient hotel, Mediterranean kitchen, river views

  • AddressTầng thượng KS New Orient, 20 Đống Đa, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours17:00 – 00:00
  • TypeRooftop Restaurant & Bar
  • Google Maps★ 4.9 · 2,552 reviews

The Gypsy Rooftop Restaurant & Bar occupies the top of the New Orient hotel at 20 Dong Da in Hai Chau; until July 2025 this address was in Thuan Phuoc ward. The terrace takes in the city all the way around, with the Han River and its bridges on one side. Hours are 5 PM to midnight daily, so the best plan is to arrive before sunset and stay until both riverbanks light up.

Gypsy is more restaurant than bar: the kitchen cooks modern Mediterranean food with careful plating, and the venue also hosts private events. The sources we checked do not mention a DJ or a dance floor, so treat it as a place for dinner and conversation, a good fit for a date or a relaxed catch-up. An independent guide that visited on a weeknight found the bar area fairly empty, so if you want a buzz, go at the weekend.

Best for: Couples on a dinner date, small groups who want a rooftop meal with a city view before going on

8. Kalà Kalà Beach Club — Beach club with a seaside pool, daybeds, cabanas, Saturday fireworks

  • Address51 Võ Nguyên Giáp, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours08:00 – 02:00
  • TypeBeach Club
  • Google Maps★ 4.6 · 2,499 reviews

Kalà Kalà Beach Club is at 51 Vo Nguyen Giap in Ngu Hanh Son, inside the DanaBeach complex, and opened on 22 August 2025. Bar, restaurant and pool share one open space facing My Khe Beach: daybeds draped in white linen a few steps from the waves, wooden cabanas that light up at dusk, bamboo ceilings, honey-toned wooden floors and arches that blend tropical boho with a Mediterranean feel. The venue's own site lists 8 AM to 2 AM, while Google Maps shows 3 AM. Entry is free.

The music changes with the time of day: bossa nova by the pool, Afro House as the sun sets and Deep House after dark. The evening program runs 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM. Monday to Thursday and Sunday bring a DJ, an MC and hype performers; Friday adds fire dancing; Saturday is the big night, with LED dancers, fire, fireworks and a foam party. Bookings come in three types, pool loungers, lounge sofas and regular tables, with exact spots assigned on arrival. Bring swimwear if you plan to swim and a cover-up for the restaurant; children can use the pool only before 4 PM. Weekend afternoons fill early, so aim for 4 PM to 5 PM.

Best for: Friends who want a pool, a daybed all afternoon and Saturday fireworks with a foam party

9. Bamboo 2 Bar — Riverside sports bar since 2006, plenty of screens and pool tables

  • Address216 Bạch Đằng, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours13:00 – 02:00 (Sat, Sun 11:00 – 03:00)
  • TypeSports Bar
  • Google Maps★ 4.2 · 1,931 reviews

Bamboo 2 Bar sits on a corner at 216 Bach Dang, also on the west bank and a short walk from the Dragon Bridge. It has been serving since 2006 and is a regular haunt for Da Nang's expat community as well as travelers and locals. On weekdays it runs from 1 PM to 2 AM; on Saturday and Sunday it opens earlier and closes later, 11 AM to 3 AM, and it does not close on any day of the year. That makes it one of the few places downtown where you can settle in from Saturday lunchtime. Downstairs there is the bar and a row of terrace tables facing the river; upstairs has pool tables and is calmer.

Sport is the main draw. The Premier League, Champions League, F1, UFC, rugby, cricket, golf and tennis are all shown, along with Australian AFL and NRL, across many TVs at once. If you want a particular game, name it in your booking request. This is not a club: the soundtrack is classic rock, songs from the eighties and nineties and requests from the floor. The kitchen does burgers, pizza, fried chicken and steak, enough for a long dinner around a match. Dress is casual. Football crowds, golf groups and bachelor parties should give notice so tables can be pushed together.

Best for: Sports fans, expats and groups who want a riverside seat from afternoon to late, no dancing required

10. LUNA Pub — Italian-style pub in a brick warehouse on Tran Phu, live music nights

  • Address9A Trần Phú, Phường Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours17:00 – 00:00 (closed thứ Hai)
  • TypePub
  • Google Maps★ 4.4 · 1,495 reviews

LUNA Pub is at 9A Tran Phu in Hai Chau ward, one block back from the Han River; until July 2025 the address belonged to Thach Thang ward. It calls itself Da Nang's first Italian restaurant and bar, and it lives in an old brick warehouse with high ceilings and walls covered in bright murals. The heart of the room is a wood-fired oven turning out thin-crust pizza, alongside pasta made in-house, cured meat boards and steaks. Hours are 5 PM to midnight, with Monday as its day off.

This is a pub for a long dinner that turns into a long evening, not a place to dance. Some nights bring live musicians, but there is no fixed weekly line-up, so check ahead if the music is the reason you are going. Regulars tend to praise the food and the friendly staff, and there are vegetarian and vegan options. In July 2026 Time Out was still pointing visitors to LUNA as an easy evening stop downtown.

Best for: Friends after an Italian dinner that stretches into live music, anyone after a pub downtown

11. Section 30 — Two-level open-air pub in An Thuong, live music several nights a week

  • Address25 An Thượng 30, Phường Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng
  • TypePub
  • Google Maps★ 4.7 · 1,343 reviews

Section 30 is at 25 An Thuong 30 in Ngu Hanh Son ward, inside the An Thuong grid a few hundred meters from My Khe Beach; until July 2025 the area was Bac My Phu ward in Ngu Hanh Son district. It works as an open pub, with two levels of outdoor seating and a busy, social feel from afternoon to late. The kitchen makes pizza from its own dough and burgers, the pulled pork burger being the one guests mention most, and keeps serving late with a separate night menu.

Live music runs several nights a week, usually toward the weekend and including Sunday, so check the venue's page for the schedule before you go. An independent guide to Da Nang bars named Section 30 the best bar in An Thuong for 2025. It is a place to sit for hours, talk and eat late rather than to dance. Friday and Saturday nights bring the An Thuong crowds, so arrive early if you want a good table.

Best for: Travelers staying near My Khe, groups who want a relaxed pub with late food and live music

12. Sky 21 Bar & Bistro — 21st-floor rooftop on the beach road, looking straight at My Khe

  • Address216 Võ Nguyên Giáp, An Hải, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours17:00 – 00:00
  • TypeRooftop Bar
  • Google Maps★ 4.8 · 1,191 reviews

Sky 21 Bar & Bistro is the one rooftop on this list that looks at the sea rather than the river. It is on the 21st floor of the Parosand Danang hotel, previously known as Belle Maison Parosand, at 216 Vo Nguyen Giap in An Hai, which belonged to Son Tra district until July 2025. My Khe Beach stretches along the east side, the city skyline along the west. There are 110 seats and it opens 5 PM to midnight. Part of the deck is open to the sky and part is covered around the bar, so a rainy evening is not a lost cause. One floor down, the Sky View restaurant serves European food if you want a sit-down dinner first.

Sky 21 is a place to unwind rather than dance. In an October 2026 post the bar announced a chillout DJ session from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM; some nights bring acoustic live music, but sources disagree on which days, so check when you book. The space-themed photo corner and a set of nine drinks named after the planets are what guests post online most. Come at opening to watch the sea change color. On weekends and during the fireworks festival season, book early if you want a seat at the railing, and leave the swimwear at the hotel even though the beach is just across the road.

Best for: Guests staying along My Khe, couples and small groups who like mellow music and sunset photos

13. Tê Bar — Hidden third-floor bar on Nguyen Thai Hoc, Vietnamese-dish flavors

  • AddressTầng 3, 39–41 Nguyễn Thái Học, Phường Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours19:00 – 01:30
  • TypeHidden Bar
  • Google Maps★ 4.7 · 822 reviews

Tê Bar sits on the third floor of 39–41 Nguyen Thai Hoc in Hai Chau ward, in the middle of downtown. The way up runs through a coffee shop on the ground floor and there is no big sign outside, so first-timers often have to ask. Inside it is compact and nostalgic, with wooden furniture and hanging lanterns. It opens 7 PM to 1:30 AM, which makes it a calm stop after dinner or the last stop of a long night.

What made Tê Bar famous is a bar team that puts Vietnamese food into a glass: one signature borrows the flavors of mì Quảng noodles, another recalls phở, and there are zero-proof choices and fresh juices for anyone not drinking. The soundtrack is an acoustic playlist at talking volume, and this is not a place to dance. As one of the best-known mixology bars in the city, it fills quickly on weekend nights, so arrive early if you come as a group.

Best for: Couples and small groups curious about Vietnamese flavors in a quiet, hidden room

14. Brilliant Top Bar — 17th-floor terrace facing the Dragon Bridge, live music on Saturdays

  • Address162 Bạch Đằng, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours16:00 – 23:00
  • TypeRooftop Bar
  • Google Maps★ 4.7 · 661 reviews

Brilliant Top Bar is on the 17th floor, the roof of the Brilliant Hotel at 162 Bach Dang, on the same riverside road as Sky36 and Bamboo 2. It is the earliest rooftop on this list to open, 4 PM to 11 PM daily, and also the first to close. The railing points straight at the Dragon Bridge, with both banks of the Han lighting up in front of you, and the terrace holds more than 100 guests. The kitchen cooks Asian-European fusion: beef steak, grilled pork ribs, lamb, pan-seared salmon, salads and cold platters, so you can come for a full dinner rather than just a snack.

The mood here is quieter than at the other two rooftops. Early in the evening the tables are candlelit and the music is low, which suits a date or a long conversation. The hotel puts on live music on Saturday nights and public holidays, and some guests mention watching the Dragon Bridge breathe fire from the terrace on weekend nights. Private dinners for two are possible, as are birthdays and anniversaries for groups of eight or more on a set menu and private buffets once a group reaches thirty. For a railing table at sunset, arrive around 5 PM and say so in your request. If you want a DJ and a dance floor, look elsewhere.

Best for: Dates, dinner with a Dragon Bridge view, small groups who want to talk and be home before midnight

15. FOMO Beer Club — Garden venue on Nui Thanh with a band and singers every night

FOMO Beer Club — Beer Club Hải Châu
  • Address21A Núi Thành, Hòa Cường, Đà Nẵng
  • TypeBeer Club
  • Google Maps★ 4.7 · 330 reviews

FOMO Beer Club is at 21A Nui Thanh in Hoa Cuong, on a wide road south of the center; the Han River is a few minutes away by bike or car, and it is not far from My Khe either. It is built as a garden venue, open and high-ceilinged, with tables arranged around a stage so every group can see the band. The design renderings the venue has published show a central bar edged in pink and violet light, an illuminated sign overhead, bare brick and a big painted mural. FOMO opens in the evening, but fixed opening and closing times have not been published, so confirm the time slot when you book.

Live music is what keeps people here. Bands and singers rotate each night with upbeat, easy sing-along songs, and the later it gets the more the tables join in together. There is no DJ floor, so this is a place to sit for hours and talk. Seating comes in two flavors: tables close to the stage, with the best view and the most noise, and tables further out where conversation is easier. Big groups can have long tables joined up. Birthdays and reunions are classic FOMO occasions; add cake or decoration requests to your booking. On weekends and guest band nights, reserve two or three days ahead.

Best for: Large groups of friends, birthday parties, anyone who prefers live singing to DJ sets

16. Bambi Beer Club — Golden Forest on 2 Thang 9 Street, stage in the middle, open to 3 AM

Bambi Beer Club — Beer Club Hải Châu
  • Address1 A10.2 Đường 2 Tháng 9, Hòa Cường, Đà Nẵng
  • Hours18:00 – 03:00
  • TypeBeer Club
  • Google Maps★ 4.8 · 67 reviews

Bambi Beer Club is at Lot 1A.10.2 on 2 Thang 9 Street in Hoa Cuong, one of Da Nang's familiar nightlife strips, only a short ride from both the Dragon Bridge and Tran Thi Ly Bridge. Doors open at 6 PM and close at 3 AM every night, holidays included; early evening is gentler, and the room really fills from 10 PM. The concept is “Golden Forest”: antler gold and forest green, tiers of circular lights stacked across the ceiling, a chrome sphere, and LED screens wrapped around a stage that sits in the center of the room. The mascot is a deer, which walks the floor and comes to tables for photos with guests.

Resident DJs and guest artists cover EDM, House, Bass, Hip-hop and Viet Mix, and the guest line-up changes weekly. Seating rings the stage: standard tables on the outer circle for 2–4 people, VIP tables closer in for 4–8, Super VIP right at the stage edge for 8–12, plus a private party area for birthdays and company events. Super VIP is the first tier to fill on guest nights. Smart dress is expected: trousers or a skirt plus closed shoes, while flip-flops and tank tops are not suitable. There is ample parking along 2 Thang 9 Street.

Best for: Friends who want to dance until 3 AM, birthdays with a stage and a deer at the table, Bambi seekers

17. Horizon Bar — 36th-floor rooftop on the beach road, bar beside an infinity pool

  • AddressTầng 36, Four Points by Sheraton, 118–120 Võ Nguyên Giáp, Phường An Hải, Đà Nẵng
  • TypeRooftop Bar

Horizon Bar is on the 36th floor of the Four Points by Sheraton Danang at 118–120 Vo Nguyen Giap, An Hai ward; until July 2025 this stretch of the beach road was Phuoc My ward in Son Tra district. A glass elevator runs up the outside of the tower, and at the top the bar sits right next to an infinity pool. From this height you take in the whole sweep of My Khe Beach and the sea, and turning around, the city behind it.

Compared with Sky36 across the river, Horizon is much quieter, more a place for sunset, conversation and photos with the pool in the foreground than for a party. According to The Rooftop Guide, smart casual is expected, so leave swimwear and beach sandals in your room. Because it sits on the beach road, it makes an easy first stop for anyone staying in the My Khe hotels, who can stay until dark before heading over the river into the center.

Best for: Guests in My Khe hotels, couples and small groups after a quiet sunset high above the sea

18. Lounge Beach Bar & Restaurant — My Khe beachfront: seafood by day, DJ and fire dancers after dark

  • Address1C Võ Nguyên Giáp, Phường An Hải, Đà Nẵng
  • TypeBeach Bar & Restaurant

Lounge Beach Bar & Restaurant is at 1C Vo Nguyen Giap in An Hai ward, right on My Khe Beach; until July 2025 the area belonged to Son Tra district. It is built open-plan, with an outdoor wooden deck catching the sea breeze, an indoor room in warm earthy tones and plenty of tables facing the water. It opens early in the morning, and by day it leans toward a restaurant, with seafood such as garlic butter prawns, squid and cheese-grilled scallops, plus steaks for anyone after Western food.

After dark it shifts into a beach party mood, with a DJ, fire dancers and a pool table. Next to Esco or Maia it is more about dinner with a sea view than about loungers on the sand; one independent guide liked the many sea-view tables but found nothing special on the menu. DJ and fire show nights are not published in advance, so ask the venue if you are going for a particular act.

Best for: Couples and groups who want a seafood dinner by the waves that turns into DJ music and fire

If you want your feet in the sand, work your way along Vo Nguyen Giap: Esco and Lounge Beach on the An Hai side, then Kalà Kalà, Paradise and Maia toward Ngu Hanh Son, each facing My Khe head-on. For the sea from above, go up to Sky 21 or Horizon on the same road; Horizon is higher and has an infinity pool right beside the bar. For the river and the Dragon Bridge, stay on Bach Dang Street: Sky36 has the highest vantage point, Brilliant Top Bar the dinner tables at the railing, and Bamboo 2 the street-level terrace, while Gypsy on Dong Da looks over the whole city. On The Radio, The 1920's Lounge, LUNA, Tê Bar, Section 30 and the two Hoa Cuong venues have no view, but they make up for it with a band, a DJ or a bar team worth the trip. Start near your hotel so you are not crossing the bridges back and forth all night.

Plan an evening around opening hours

The easiest route starts at the beach: reach Kalà Kalà or Paradise around 4:30 PM to 5 PM and settle in for sunset, or swap in Brilliant Top Bar, Sky 21 or Horizon if you prefer the view from above. Around 8 PM head into central Hai Chau, choosing On The Radio for a sing-along band, The 1920's Lounge for softer jazz or LUNA for an Italian dinner that runs late; if you are staying by the beach, Section 30 in An Thuong does the same job without crossing a bridge. After 10 PM there are three directions: up to Sky36 for the rooftop show, back to the sand at Maia for weekend fire dancing, or over to Bambi in Hoa Cuong, which runs until 3 AM. Tê Bar, open until 1:30 AM, makes a quiet last stop, and football fans can simply spend the whole night at Bamboo 2, especially at weekends when it stays open until 3 AM.

Ask about the schedule: fire, fireworks, bands, fixtures

Every venue has its own best night. Kalà Kalà has fire dancing on Friday and adds fireworks and a foam party on Saturday. Maia and Esco bring out fire dancers at weekends, Sky36 does so on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and Lounge Beach has a DJ and fire dancers after dark without a published schedule. Paradise screens films after dark but does not publish a schedule. The 1920's Lounge changes its band nightly, with jazz often on Thursday; On The Radio shifts styles between weeknights and weekends; LUNA and Section 30 have live music on several nights a week. Brilliant has live music on Saturdays, Bamboo 2 follows the sporting calendar and Bambi rotates guest artists each week. Put what you want to see in your booking request so the right night can be confirmed.

Booking, dress code and age

Beach bars are the most relaxed: summer clothes and flip-flops are fine, though at Kalà Kalà it is worth putting a top on for the restaurant. The five rooftops are inside hotels, so dress neatly and leave swimwear in your room; Horizon lists smart casual. The 1920's Lounge suits smart, tidy clothes, while On The Radio, Bamboo 2, LUNA and Section 30 are casual enough for a T-shirt. Bambi asks for long trousers or a skirt and closed shoes. There is no deposit and you pay on the night; holding a table costs nothing when you book through Nightclub.com.vn, and our team calls the venue and confirms with you before you arrive. For Friday, Saturday, holidays and the fireworks festival season, send your request at least a day ahead. Bookings are for guests aged 18 and over.
