The 12 best clubs in Hanoi for 2026

1900 Le Théâtre fills the building at 8B Ta Hien Street, in the middle of the Old Quarter. It opened in the early 20th century as the Quang Lac theatre, turned into Hanoi Roxy in the 1990s and came back under its current name in 2016. The old auditorium still decides the layout: the DJ plays from a raised podium in the centre, people dance on all four sides, and a steel lighting rig and stage curtains hang above. The sound system is L-Acoustics. DJ Mag put the club in its Top 100 Clubs in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

The music is electronic first: House, including Afro House, and Techno, including Melodic Techno, with the odd hip-hop night built around a guest artist. Every night has a name. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday run as Daily Dose, Tuesday is Ladies' Night, and Friday and Saturday are Wicked Weekend. Doors are open 9 PM to 3 AM, seven nights a week. Tables around the podium go first, so ask for them when you book.

Hero Club is at 42M Yen Phu Street in Ba Dinh Ward, an area that was called Truc Bach Ward before July 2025. Yen Phu follows the water between the city centre and West Lake, so it is easy to reach from both the Old Quarter and Tay Ho. The room goes for an industrial look and keeps its structure on show: two steel towers beside the DJ booth, a glass floor striped with light, a curved LED wall around the stage and a ceiling packed with moving heads. The club's logo carries the words “10 YEARS”.

Resident DJs play EDM, House and Top 40, music that needs no specialist ear, and special nights add guest DJs from Vietnam and abroad. Hero also runs MC Take Over, a series where an MC leads the whole room around a new theme each edition. Doors open at 9 PM and the floor peaks after midnight. APLUS Hanoi stands at 78 Yen Phu Street in Ba Dinh, between West Lake and Truc Bach Lake. It shares the street with Hero Club, but it is a separate venue at No. 78. With room for around a thousand people it is one of the largest floors in the capital, and in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs for 2026, a worldwide vote by electronic music fans, it placed 43rd. Line-ups often bring in international DJs, and the sound runs from big-room EDM, Trance, Techno and House to Hip-hop and Viet Mix.

APLUS opens 9:30 PM to 3 AM every day, weekends and public holidays included. There is motorbike parking at No. 78 and a car park next door, a real plus if you arrive by car. The door checks clothes closely: wear trousers or a skirt, closed shoes and a neat top, because flip-flops, vests and sports shorts get turned away. International DJ nights fill early, so book at least a day ahead.

Factory 47 is at 47 Hang Buom Street in the heart of the Old Quarter, a few minutes' walk from 1900 Le Théâtre and Ta Hien; the block belonged to Hang Buom Ward until July 2025 and now falls under Hoan Kiem Ward. The look is a converted workshop, with gears and iron chains fixed across the walls. Upstairs there are sofas, pool tables and an open-air corner for a breather between sets. It holds around three hundred people.

What sets it apart from the big Hanoi clubs is the programme. Local and visiting DJs rotate through the booth, often in back-to-back pairings, and the sound leans house and techno. On Resident Advisor it ranks among the Hanoi venues with the most listed nights; in October 2026 alone it hosted three guest nights in a row, one of them a takeover by the Savage crew. Closing time follows the programme, so check the venue's social page before heading over. Smoking is allowed inside, so if smoke bothers you, settle near the open-air corner.

For anyone living in the west of the city, around Dong Da, Thanh Xuan or Lang, HYBRA On Top is the nearest club that does not mean crossing town to the Old Quarter. It occupies a high floor of the building at No. 8 by the six-way junction, in what is now O Cho Dua Ward and was Dong Da District before mid-2025; you take the lift up, and the third floor below is Top.U, a completely separate venue.

Resident DJs hold the decks every night with a mix of EDM, House, Hip-hop and remixes, and weekends usually run under the House of V banner, bringing in a guest DJ and an MC to work the crowd. The design commits to one idea: raw concrete overhead, square LED frames hung askew, green lasers and an Island stage strung with nets like a castaway beach. Dopamine Hanoi is the pick here for anyone in the west who wants electronic music without the drive into the centre. The club gives its address as No. 39, lane 20 Nguyen Chanh, Yen Hoa Ward (Trung Hoa Ward in Cau Giay District until July 2025), while its Google Maps pin shows 1 Mac Thai Tong in the Nam Trung Yen area, so call ahead for directions into the lane on a first visit.

The nights belong to House, Techno, Trance and EDM, with local DJs and visiting names trading sets. The booth stands in the middle of the crowd rather than on a distant stage, and anyone who prefers to watch can head up to the mezzanine balcony and look straight down onto the floor. The weekly calendar revolves around series the club named itself: DOPA RADIO, Dopa Open Stage, DOPALIVE, Ladies Night. Doors open at 8 PM; there is no fixed closing time and the schedule can change, so call to confirm before you go, especially early in the week.

Weeknd Hanoi is a small room for about two hundred people now at 15 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, in the Cua Nam area south of Hoan Kiem Lake. The walk from the lake or the Old Quarter takes five to eight minutes. The club sticks to one lane: Hip-hop, R&B and Trap carry the night, and Deep House only appears at the start and in the wind-down. Two series made its name: NATIVES, a meeting point for Hanoi's hip-hop scene, and WEEKND TUNE IN, numbered theme nights dreamed up by the resident crew.

Nights run from 8 PM to 3 AM, and only Thursday through Sunday. Expect the headline set to kick in near 10:30 PM, so come earlier if you want to pick where you sit. Seating runs from the bar counter for solo guests through Standard Sofa (two to four people) and Premium Sofa (four to eight) to VIP Sofa for ten or more. Streetwear is fine; flip-flops, vests and sports shorts are not. Weeknd SGN in Saigon is a different venue.

Block B is at 2 Ly Thuong Kiet Street in Cua Nam Ward, about 300 metres from the Hanoi Opera House. It skips the big-floor format for a small, closed room. A white-tiled DJ booth stands in the middle of the floor, an LED screen under the vaulted ceiling spells out BLOCKB, the floor is a black-and-white check and every table gets a candle. Posters for music nights fill the walls beneath strips of pink and violet light. Dancers end up very close to the DJ, and there is no fixed genre: each night has its own DJ and MC line-up.

Hours shift through the week. Monday, Wednesday and Sunday run from 9 PM to 3 AM, Tuesday starts earlier at 8 PM, and Thursday to Saturday go on until 4 AM. Wednesday is Fit Check Day, built around street style, and Friday is Spotlight, with a guest artist leading the room; the schedule can change week to week. With only a few tables, booking is close to essential at the weekend.

MidNight Club takes up the second floor of 46 Ma May Street, right in the Old Quarter and about five minutes on foot from Hoan Kiem Lake or Ta Hien Street. The whole club is one floor for around two hundred people, so even the furthest table is close to the DJ booth. Hip-hop is the house sound every night rather than a theme night, mixed with House and EDM remixes, and guest DJs from Vietnam and abroad rotate each week.

Doors open at 9 PM and close at 4:30 AM every night, holidays included, the latest finish of any club here that publishes its hours. The floor fills from about 11 PM. The dress code is smart casual: trousers or a skirt and closed shoes, with no flip-flops or vests. You can book the bar counter, a standing table, a Premium table facing the booth or a VIP Sofa for bigger groups.

Cosmos Club is at 21 Trang Tien Street in Cua Nam Ward, on the street that runs from Hoan Kiem Lake to the Opera House, roughly five minutes' walk from the lake. Its own tagline is “Frequency of the night”, and the room follows a space theme. The domed ceiling is one curved LED screen with an orbit symbol moving across it, and a column of stacked light rings hangs in the middle of the room. The DJ booth sits at the centre of the floor, so the crowd gathers on every side.

Resident DJs play House, Tech House and EDM, with guest DJs and theme parties, such as a pyjama night, on special dates. Cosmos is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9 PM to 4 AM and closed on Mondays; it is at its fullest after midnight. The logo and Google Maps both say “Cosmos”, though plenty of regulars just call it “Cosmo”.

Unmute takes floors four to six of 169 Phuc Tan Street, Hong Ha Ward; until July 2025 this street along the Red River dyke was part of Phuc Tan Ward in Hoan Kiem District. The club sits inside the building of a fruit and vegetable market that trades around the clock, so first-timers often wonder if they have the wrong address. The fourth floor is Cuốn Club Room, the main dance room, and the two floors above are Tan Bar, for sitting out. Capacity is around three hundred.

What gets electronic music fans talking is the engineering. The sound system is a custom four-way rig built with Mark Own Audio, and the dance floor sits on springs, so it gives a little with every step. The music is techno, house and disco, and founder Lam Dao still plays the booth himself. Through 2026 the club has kept up a steady run of guest nights, from a showcase for the dispari label in January to a Hanoi on Vinyl session in early July, some running until sunrise. Le Maquis Club is tucked away on the third floor of 41 Hang Buom, Hoan Kiem Ward (Hang Buom Ward until July 2025), a few doors from Factory 47. To get in, you follow a strip of red lights up the stairs to the third floor and ring the bell, classic hidden-bar style. The room is dark and warm, and on ordinary nights the house and hip-hop stay low enough for a conversation at the counter. Do not mix it up with The Maquis Bar at 2A Ta Hien, a different place.

Weekends turn it into a club, with DJ crews taking over the room: the Thêm collective played house and tech house in May 2026, a late-September night brought in DJs from Savage and Orbit Electribe, and October had a vinyl-only techno night. Opening hours are 7 PM to 2 AM, stretching to 4 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
